Meet Cecile-Notzka, Volunteer-of-the-Week

Congratulations to Cecile Notzka, Global Team Corona Busters extraordinary "Volunteer of the Week."

Why do you volunteer for Team Corona Busters?

I started making masks for this group because it was something I could do to help in a helpless time of our lives. I realized this is something I could control (my sewing) even though I could not control what was happening in the world.

My youngest son Mark has lived with me for the past 3 years.  We live in Ventura.  My sister Teri and I team up to make masks and bindings.  She cuts them out, sends them to me weekly and I finish them.  Between my sister and I,  and the pieces I receive from TCB, we have made approximately 500 masks.

Tell us a funny fact about yourself.

I honestly cannot think of a funny fact about me.

Tell us about your pets.

My dog’s name is Ace. My husband Fred and I got him from our youngest son. He was the owner of Ace’s mom, Rosie. My husband passed away almost 5 years ago and he adored Ace as do I.

Cecile is an angel and I think 500 is a conservative estimate.
She’s at good ice dyeing too
